• What Software and projects can be supported by FDL/AWL?

  The Fonds de Dotation du Libre (FDL) is an association aimed at maintaining and extending software that falls under "general interest" (for example educational or scientific solutions). Both long term maintenance and short term extensions of FLOSS software solutions are possible. Activities however also extend to other projects as an endowment fund is free regarding the use of received funding.

• Is Membership mandatory to support a Software?

  It is not required to be an active member for proposing or supporting specific software solutions. Donations can also be made by anyone interested in FDL or AWL to support maintenance of a specific Free Software solution. Membership will however give more control over which projects specifically are undertaken at what point in time
