Projects

The Fonds de Dotation du Libre (FDL) may leverage national non-profit organisations to implement its policy. It will support the long term maintenance through direct financing while short term development will be either financed by FDL's sister non-profit organisation, called "AWL" (Action pour un Web Libre) or by FDL directly.

For more info on the statutes of both associations, please refer to the FDL statutes and AWL statutes (both in French).

On this page you can find the list of projects currently supported. Projects can include either long term maintenance financed through FDL or more short-term, feature specific extensions. If you are interested in supporting any of the listed projects, please contact us directly. If your business is depending on a software that meets the critiera described in the project evaluation process, feel free to suggest it to be included in the list of supported projects.

Open RRH Open RRH (waiting for financing)

A prototype of an open source remote radio head (openRRH) has been tested successfully supporting 4G and 5G frequencies through dynamic spectrum sharing. It is compatible with licence free frequencies in Europe and Japan and currently targets small sites with a power of 2x0.5W. The FDL project aims to release the PCB design files for an openRRH under an open source licence and is looking for financing to do so.
